Sometu is a family owned and operated business and was established in 1985 in Berlin, Germany by the co-inventor for a special field of application using sodium polytungstate as a fine substitute for the dangerous tetrabromo ethane and other high density liquids, in the sink-floating process for mineral seperation, Patent Attorney Manfred Miehe.
Since 1985 Sometu-Germany has distributed Sodium Polytungstate (SPT) to research institutions, mining companies and universities around the world.
